Information that you provide us

Newsletter registration

We collect your email address and full name once you opt-in to receive our newsletters. The legal basis for the processing is consent, which is voluntary to submit. Thus, the data is provided to Fjorden by the subscriber. If the subscriber no longer wishes to be a recipient of the newsletter, the subscriber can, at any time, choose to unsubscribe by following the instructions included in our newsletters.

Order Placement on the website

When an order is completed for any Fjorden product, we collect full name, email, address, phone number as well as credit card information, or any other payment information provided. As part of the payment confirmation process, Shopify/Stripe carries out a fraud analysis to detect any orders that could be fraudulent. After a purchase, we store your order and service details to ensure that we can provide you with the rights you are granted in our Terms and Conditions. The legal basis for the processing is fulfilling an agreement to which the customer is a party. The data is provided to Fjorden by the customer when purchasing a product from Fjorden. If a customer does not wish to provide the necessary contact and payment information, the customer will be unable to purchase Fjorden products. 

Information that we collect automatically

Log

We collect the information that web browsers, mobile devices, and servers provide. This includes the browser type and version, IP address, unique device identifiers, operating system, referring site, and the date and time of access. The legal basis for collecting this personal data is our legitimate interests.

Geolocation

When entering our website, the browser will determine the approximate location of your device. We collect and use this information to report how many people visit our website from certain geographic regions and to display the correct store, currency, and shipping options based on your location. How do we store your data?

The data is stored in secure databases via encrypted connections. Only a few key Fjorden employees have the credentials to access this data. Fjorden deletes or irreversibly anonymizes data as soon as the purpose of the processing is fulfilled, or we are no longer required by law to store your data.

Marketing

Fjorden processes the following personal data for the purpose of sending marketing to the customer. Fjorden will only target the customer with marketing that is relevant to the customer, based on product interest or purchases done in the past. Fjorden will also use customer data to find new potential customers based on similarities between the customer and the potential customers, using social media tools such as lookalike audiences and similar. The legal basis for the processing is consent from the data subject, which is voluntary to submit. This data is provided to Fjorden by the customer. The customer can choose to provide this information in the ordering process.

We use services provided by Google, Facebook, and others that help us deliver ads and for web analytic purposes. You can manage your cookie settings in your browser settings on your computer, tablet, or mobile device.

Disclosure to Third Parties

Fjorden does not disclose personal data to unauthorized third parties. Any transfer of personal data is in accordance with the law. Based on our understanding of the term "sell" under the CCPA, we do not "sell" your personal information and have not sold it to third parties for a business or commercial purpose in the 12 months preceding the CCPA's entry into force. However, like many companies online, we use services provided by Google, Facebook, and others that help deliver ads and for web analytic purposes. We may need to transfer your personal data to countries located outside the European Economic Area (EEA), for example the USA, where we work with a supplier which processes some of its personal data in the EEA or another third country.
